Dear Editor,
This summer I worked as a volunteer for the Shanghai Expo. Now the Expo has lowered its curtain successfully, but one of my experiences during the Expo has been disturbing me a lot.
It was a sunny Saturday noon and many visitors are having lunch on the grassland. I saw a forEign couple and a Chinese couple who had just finished their lunch. Without any hesitation, the Chinese couple threw their leftover food and the plastic bags on the grass.
Astonished and shocked, the foreign couple said, “It’s no good to damage the environment by littering carelessly.”
