现代会展旅游业是一项迅速发展的新兴旅游形式，相比其他形式的旅游活动，会展旅游拥有比较好的经济和社会效益。本文论述了会展旅游的含义及其经济社会效益，特点及对举办地的要求，介绍了中外会展旅游发展的现状及可资借鉴的经验，并在分析青岛会展旅游发展的现状与不足的基础上就青岛会展旅游发展思路的初步研究提出了几点建议。
