The expression of IL-17 and IFN-γ were analyzed with immunohistochemistry in pathologic tissue and controls. 【Results】 The expression levels of IL-17 were (81.6 ± 20.0)%, (43.3 ± 25.7)%, (4.7 ± 1.9)%, and (5.6 ± 2.3)% in cholesteatoma, granulation, external auditory canal epithelium and middle ear mucosa respectively. The experimental group and control group statistically significant difference (P < 0.001). The expression levels of IFN-γ were (65.4 ± 24.0)%, (30.1 ± 24.5)%, (4.8 ± 1.8)%, and (4.0 ± 1.6)% in cholesteatoma, granulation, external auditory canal epithelium and middle ear mucosa respectively.
