holesteatoma， 17 cases of non cholesteatoma) and 18 controls (13 cases of external auditory canal epithelium， 5 cases of middle ear mucosa). The expression of IL-17 and IFN-γ were analyzed with immunohistochemistry in pathologic tissue and controls. 【Results】 The expression levels of IL-17 were (81.6 ± 20.0)%， (43.3 ± 25.7)%， (4.7 ± 1.9)%， and (5.6 ± 2.3)% in cholesteatoma， granulation， external auditory canal epithelium and middle ear mucosa respectively. The experimental group and control group statistically significant difference (P < 0.001). The expression levels of IFN-γ were (65.4 ± 24.0)%， (30.1 ± 24.5)%， (4.8 ± 1.8)%， and (4.0 ± 1.6)% in cholesteatoma， granulation， external auditory canal epithelium and middle ear mucosa respectively.
