英语专业教学中的中国文化意识培养
learn the language and to enrich the knowledge of Chinese culture. The research methods include questionnaires, tests, and interviews. Data were collected before and after the reform. The differences between the data of the questionnaires show that the students’ cultural awareness is cultivated, especially their eagerness to learn Chinese culture, through the reform. The results of the students’ performance in the pretest and the after test show that the reform is useful in helping to improve students’ language ability of expressing Chinese culture in English. The interviews find that the students’ Chinese cultural awareness is strengthened. Through this reform, one realization is reached that in the process of ELT the cultivation of Chinese cultural awareness should be paid attention to while the cultivation of intercultural communicative competence is always one of our focuses, and that the teaching of culture should be conducted in a broader sense which cover
